How to Get Kim Kardashian's Wedding Cover Look
from People Magazine
Despite how her marriage turned out, Kim Kardashian looked every bit the pristine bride when she graced the cover of People Magazine. Her classic look combines fresh and natural makeup with flawless hair and all the trimmings of a Disney storybook princess. If you want to score this look for your special day, look no further. Here are tips from a group of high-profile pros, as part of the Cover Look Collection: sharing the secrets to creating star cover looks in the real World, on a real budget.

Accessories & Clothing

To copy Kim's look at a fraction of the cost, celebrity stylist Colin McDonald chose a taffeta ball gown with an embroidered floral bodice from the White by Vera Wang collection at David's Bridal. McDonald's pick for earrings is a Swarovski crystal and CZ blend by Anna Bellagio Jewelry called Cianna.
Get multi-carat bling on a budget with the designer's Diana necklace, a 16" princess-style cluster of pear shapes and flowers. Put it on your neck for a more conservative nod to Kim's daring headwear.

Hair

Megan McGinn, pro hairstylist at Detour Salon in Encinitas, California gives five steps for getting Kim's shiny hair:
Cut: Start with a cut that has long, blended layers to give bounce and movement.
Color: Kim has a color treatment in deep chocolate with warm undertones. McGinn cautions to Warn your colorist to go gold, not red, to nail the cover look.
Pre-Treat: Bumble and bumble Styling Lotion is McGinn's pick for a glossy sheen with heat protection.
Style: Wrap 2-3" wide sections of dried hair around a 1 to 1 1/4" wide curling iron loosely, leaving just the ends out.
Finish: Once all curled, comb through the hair with your fingers to "marry" the sections. Set the style with Bumble and bumble's Spray de Mode for long-lasting hold.

Makeup
Follow NYC pro makeup artist and skincare expert Josephine Fusco's eight-point analysis of the cover look, with Kim's picks and budget-friendly alternatives to DIY at home:
Moisturizer: Kim's fave is La Mer Moisturizing Lotion, but Fusco suggests IS Clinical Moisturizing Complex or Anthelios, offering the same efficacy for less.
Foundation: Diorskin Nude Glow Hydrating Makeup has 100% natural mineral pigments and was KK's makeup artist's choice. Fifty bucks too much? Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Makeup is just as good, and its oil-free formula is enriched with coconut water.
Concealer: Apply under eyes down to the cheek bones for highlighting using a concealer palette and brush. Kim used Terry Touche but custom-blending a few Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Corrector Concealer shades works, too.
Ready--Set! Finish with a loose powder to set foundation and concealer. Fusco prefers M.A.C. over over Kim's pick, Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre.
Eye Shadow: Choose between two palettes to get this look at your ideal price: Lancome 5 Palette in Golden Frenzy or Maybelline Expertwear Eyeshadow in Sunbaked Neutrals. Sweep the light golden shade all over the lids, and the darker shade along the crease. Apply the lightest shadow on the brow bone to highlight and golden bronze along the lower lash line.
Liner: Using Cover Girl Line Exact Liquid Liner begin at the inner corner and line outward, gradually thickening, winging the liner up and out at the end.
Lashes: Apply a few coats of Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara in So Black! then apply false lashes to the upper lids for big drama.
Lips: Kim's lips work for everyone - pick your favorite neutral color liner and add a sweep of coral peach lipstick.

Smile Secrets
There's a lot more behind Kim's grin than a good tube of lipstick, according to Manhattan dentist-to-the-stars Dr. Debra Glassman. "She has porcelain veneers, which are thin, porcelain coverings over many teeth that allow us to custom-design a Hollywood smile," she says. Veneers can make teeth white and natural-looking and achieve a variety of cosmetic outcomes. Lengthening teeth give a more youthful appearance, and building them out can give a "smi1e lift" supporting your lips and facial muscles.
