How to Get AdeIe's

Cover Look from

Vogue UK Magazine

British singer Adele's smoldering, come-hither eyes and complementary colorful clothes are the standout features of her Vogue UK cover.

Designer Spotlight

Before opening her own private clothing label that she sells on Etsy, Turkish designer Mine Kurtulmus created apparel for big brands like C&A, George, Marks&Spencer, River Island and Vero Moda. Now, she Works on her own, hand-crafting each item she sells in her Istanbul studio. Kurtulumus' family of artisans includes potters (her great-grandfather, grandfather and mom) and a jewelry designer (sister). Her mom Naile lends a hand on production and her sister Merve models the fashions for the brand's online catalog.

Hair

Celebrity hairstylist Richard Marin has worked with stars Denise Richards, Cindy Crawford, Tina Fey and Megan Fox, just to name a handful...now he'll share his tips to help you get Adele's Catherine Deneuve-inspired 'do in a nod to the long-haired styles of the late 60s and early 70s.

Cut: For best results achieving this style, you'll need hair that falls at the collar bone to mid-chest length with a slight layer in the front.

Style: Set your hair in hot rollers. Marin recommends Remington's Pearl Ceramic Heated Clip Setters.

Pro tip: To get longer-lasting curls, mist some water into your dry hair and then place the rollers in to set your hair. The moisture combined with the heat of the rollers will lock in a long-lasting set as it dries and you will have beautiful curls that last all day long! Remove rollers, then brush or finger comb and you're ready.

Makeup

Melanie Mills, Emmy award-winning makeup artist and the brain behind Gleam Body Radiance, shares the techniques and products you need to transform yourself into the "Rolling in the Deep" singer's cover look.

Face: First, you need to begin with a clean, matte complexion. Apply DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF25 #020 over the entire face, and apply #10 on the eyelids and under your bottom lip.

Brows: Mills says the key to nailing this look is all about the strawberry-taupe, full brow: Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Strawburn or Senna Brow Shaper Duo in Blonde offers a good color match.

Pro Tip: Use a little brow wax to work your brows into shape.

Eyes: Use M.A.C. Fluidline gel eyeliner in Blacktrack to draw all the way around your eye, tlaring out a bit at the outer corner. Draw a cat triangle, pronounced around the tear duct and into waterline on the top and bottom of the eye. Blend a matte taupe shadow into the crease, and apply a slightly darker taupe to the center of the crease, blending well.

To get a smoky effect on the bottom lash line, use a matte black shadow over the liner followed by the crease color to soften it up a bit. Apply a few coats of your favorite mascara to lashes. Affix a set of Ardell Invisiband Lashes in Demi Wispies using dark Duo Waterproof Eyelash Adhesive, and apply more mascara. Seal the lashes with a tight line of gel liner just at top of your lash line. For total authenticity, set a few mini-lashes along your bottom lashes.

Bronzer: Apply a soft matte bronzer like Cargo's Matte Medium Bronzer or Anastasia Illumin8 Bronzer on the cheeks, then set the look with Laura Mercier translucent powder.

Lips: Finish with a pretty matte lipstick like Nars in Barbarella.
