After culinary school in Rio, Daniel made his way to the rust belt and we became fast friends while playing poker.  We said "I do" in 2007 and became a "party of three" in 2014. In the years between, my hobby blog Tricia's Dish helped me begin a professional writing career focused on beauty, food and travel. While living in Brazil, we began reporting and creating recipes together for Latina Magazine on The Latin Kitchen.

Like many great adventures, our journey didn’t go anything like we had planned.
